This year Ubahn has teamed up with local urban arts center, Elementz, and well known performance group, The Millennium Robots to present Heroes Rise; an all ages street-style dance competition created to bring positive attention to street culture. The event, to be held in Cincinnati’s iconic underground metro transit center alongside Ubahn, will host a series of freestyle dance competitions known as “battles,” as well as DJ showcases, live performances, art displays and local vendors. The competition will draw dance acts from across the country and feature judges with national acclaim in the dance community.
Heroes Rise will kick off day 2 of Ubahn Fest beginning at 3:00pm on Saturday October 17th and ending at 9:00pm. Admission to Heroes Rise is included with a Saturday Ubahn ticket. Walk-up Heroes Rise ONLY tickets will also be available at the door the day of the event. Upon the completion of the competition all walk-up Heroes Rise ticket holders in addition to those under the age of 18 will be escorted out of the venue.
Heroes Rise hopes to bridge the gap between street dance and Cincinnati’s diverse community by providing a welcoming atmosphere for avid street artists and a family friendly environment that will be fun for both enthusiasts and the general public.
